Critics and audience members love Margery and Peter Spack’s captivating scenic design of Last Stop on Market Street!

“You know you’re in for a fun time just by looking at the panorama of colors exploding throughout the brightly festive set designed by Margery and Peter Spack.” — Mark Bretz, Ladue News

”As moving as the tale is on its own, Last Stop on Market Street grabs the audience’s attention and holds on tight with eye-popping set designs that awe and irresistible music that will keep you dancing long after the curtain drops. Scenic designers Peter and Margery Spack took inspiration from Robinson’s stunning illustrations and cues from St. Louis’ iconic architecture to create color-saturated, vibrant scenes that represent a city full of life.” — Nicole Plegge, STLParent

”In bringing this celebration of community to the local region, Metro has enlisted five-star talent to create an outstanding production that unifies young and old, and easily gets folks into the rhythm and out of their seats. In the neighborhood setting, brightly imagined by scenic designers extraordinaire Margery and Peter Spack, a sense of community is palpable. The Spacks are known for their original creations that evoke whimsy and wonder, and their work here could fit into a PBS set for the Children’s Television Workshop.” — Lynn Venhaus, PopLifeSTL

”The scenic design by Margery and Peter Spack uses bold colors and rich detail. Some of the set pieces are on wheels to facilitate changing the location. The movement of the scenery is so well planned and executed that scene changes are fun to watch. The assembly of the bus from separate pieces is a tour de force.” — Gerry Kowarsky, Two on the Aisle

”The set was phenomenal.”Lindsey Peters, Audience Member
