New! MTC 2026 Summer Camp Gift Certificates!
Give the gift of creativity and performance with an MTC 2026 Summer Camp Gift Certificate! Certificates can be purchased for either of MTC’s summer programs—Creative Arts Camp or Grand Theater Camp.
To secure your camper’s spot, the gift certificate must be emailed to Karen@metroplays.org as part of the registration process. Registration is only complete once the certificate has been received.
Metro Theater Company is back for another summer of fun!
Whether it’s playing with storytelling through movement or music at Creative Arts Camp, or learning how to audition for a play at Grand Theater Camp, MTC’s professional teaching artists bring fun and growth through the arts to campers of all ages. From the multidisciplinary nature of Creative Arts Camp to the use of university-level facilities at Grand Theater Camp, Metro Theater Company, in collaboration with its summer camp partners, offers engaging camps all summer long!
Grades listed below refer to the grade your child will be entering in Fall 2026. Middle school and high school camps are presented in partnership with Summer at SLU. Creative Arts Camp is presented in partnership with New City School.

Creative Arts Camp
Campers entering Pre-K through 5th grades
Mon-Fri, June 8-12, 9 am to 3:30 pm
Mon-Thurs, June 15-18, 9 am to 3:30 pm

Creative discovery is what it’s all about as the arts disciplines blend together. Campers enjoy fun-filled days exploring drama, visual art, creative movement and music with professional teaching artists. At the end of the week in the afternoon, children share highlights from camp for their family and friends. Creative Arts Camp is a great place to make new friends, build self-confidence and nurture imagination.
*Campers must be 4 years old by June 8, 2026 to participate.
*Please note, there will not be camp on Friday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
*Early care and extended day are provided through New City School. Early care begins at 7 am and is free for campers. Extended day ends at 6 pm and costs $110/week 1 and $88/week 2.
Creative Arts Camp Cancellation and Refund Policy:
Before May 1, 2026 - If your plans change and you need to cancel before May 1, you will receive a full refund per camp.
May 1 – 31, 2026 - If you cancel during this period, 50% of your camp fees are non-refundable
After June 1, 2026 - Due to staffing and program commitments, no refunds will be issued for cancellations after this date.
Should you pre-register for extended day and need a refund at any point, you will be refunded the $100 extended day fee.

Grand Theater Camp
Grand Theater Camp: Intro to Acting
Campers entering 6th through 8th grade in Fall 2026
Mon-Fri, July 6-10, 9 am to 4 pm
Mon-Fri, July 13-17, 9 am to 4 pm
Locations: Saint Louis University, Xavier Hall, Black Box & Mainstage Theater
$350/week
These two unique week-long sessions will cover the fundamentals of acting, devising new work, and improvisation! Each camp experience includes opportunities to create original theatre pieces and explore scripted scenes. Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University provide a welcoming community for young actors to grow– regardless of their previous experience level. This camp will consist of ensemble building, master classes, improv, and scene work. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance that highlights what was explored throughout the week for family and friends on the last day of each session.
Grand Theater Camp: Advanced Acting
Campers entering 6th through 8th grade in Fall 2026
July 20-24 & July 27-31, 9 am to 4 pm
Locations: SLU, Xavier Hall, Black Box & Mainstage Theater, and Metro Theater Company

Take your craft to the next level with this two-week course. Hone your audition technique, deep dive into scene work, and learn more about the professional theatre scene in St. Louis and beyond. Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University invite advanced middle school students to explore acting, improv, voice, movement, and more with professional theater artists! Campers will also participate in a field trip and workshops at Metro Theater Company in the Grand Center Arts District. Attending Grand Theater Camp: Intro to Acting is suggested but not required. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance for family and friends on the last day of camp.
Grand Theater Camp: High School
Campers entering 9th through 12th grade in Fall 2025 (Recent high school graduates welcome)
Mon-Fri, August 3-7, 9 am to 4 pm
Locations: SLU, Xavier Hall, Black Box & Mainstage Theater
$350/week
Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University invite high school students to explore advanced acting, movement, improvisation, technical theatre, and audition techniques with professional theater artists! Students will have access to SLU’s college level facilities as they create original work and perform scenes and monologues. Students will also attend workshops with Metro Theater Company's staff. All skill levels are welcome. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance for family and friends on the last day of camp.
