Dr. Deidra Thomas-Murray
St. Louis Educator/Administrator
SLPS Students in Transition Coordinator and Foster Care Liaison Thomas-Murray joined SLPS in 2006 after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Since then, she has been an effective advocate for children in foster care and the district’s 5,000 students who do not have a home. From organizing food and clothing drives to establishing college readiness programs to helping families navigate the complex web of housing, health care and educational programs and services, Thomas-Murray works to make sure students have what they need to succeed academically in K-12 classrooms and beyond. Dr. Thomas-Murray received the Washington University Rosa L. Parks Award in 2023.

St. Louis Champion for TYA
Playwright, Actor, Musician, and Teaching Artist He was last seen on stage as Ferris Frankfurter in Spells of The Sea and Yellow Dog in Go ,Dog. Go! with Metro Theater Company. He served as a co-music director and composer for In My Granny's Garden and Bold Brave Curious, also with Metro Theater Company. He also wrote original music and starred in the 2022 Shakespeare In The Streets, The Winds of Change. Colin’s plays Action and 1877 have been produced in St. Louis and have received recognition from the St. Louis theatre community. He is a founding member of The Action Art Collaborative and The Solid Sound Collective.

Music, Lyrics, Co-Book Writer - Spells of the Sea Gwenny is an award-winning performer, writer, composer, lyricist, and media professional from Houston, Texas. Spells of the Sea won Outstanding Original Script, Outstanding Audio Production, for the B. Iden Payne awards in Austin, Texas. Gwenny also won a St. Louis Lottie award for Best Actress in a musical for Spells of the Sea.

Co-Book Writer - Spells of the Sea Anna directed the original podcast version of Spells of the Sea. She is a theater-maker and educator with a focus on creating immersive and impactful experiences for children and families both in theatrical and museum settings. Spells of the Sea also won the Young-Howze Theatre Award for Musical Production of the Year.
