Grand Theater Camp:
Intro to Acting
Campers entering 6th through 8th grade in Fall 2024
Mon-Fri, June 3-7, 9 am to 4 pm
Mon-Fri, June 10-14, 9 am to 4 pm
Locations: Saint Louis University, Xavier Hall, and Black Box Theater
$340/week
Teaching Artists: Tyler White and Hailey Medrano
These two unique week-long sessions will cover the fundamentals of acting, devising new work, and improvisation! Each camp experience includes opportunities to create original work and explore scripted scenes. Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University provide a welcoming community for young actors to grow– regardless of their previous experience level. This camp will consist of ensemble building, master classes (like stage combat), and scene work. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance that highlights what was explored throughout the week for family and friends on the last day of each session.
Extended care, morning: $25/week (8 to 9 am)
Extended care, afternoon: $25/week (4 to 5 pm)
*$10 discount for children of SLU faculty, staff, students, and alumni
*Sign up for all four weeks of Middle School Camp for a reduced fee of only $1,100
Grand Theater Camp: Advanced Acting
Campers entering 6th through 8th grade in Fall 2024
Tue-Fri, June 17-28, 9 am to 4 pm
*Please note, there will not be camp on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
Locations: SLU, Xavier Hall, Black Box Theater, and the Fabulous Fox Theatre
$565 (for full 2-week camp)

Take your craft to the next level with this two-week course. Hone your audition technique, deep dive into scene work, and learn more about the professional theatre scene in St. Louis and beyond. Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University invite advanced middle school students to explore acting, stage combat, movement, and more with professional theater artists! Campers will also participate in field trips to The Fabulous Fox Theatre and workshops with Metro Theater Company's staff. Attending Grand Theater Camp: Intro to Acting is suggested, but not required. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance for family and friends on the last day of camp.

High School
Campers entering 9th through 12th grade in Fall 2024 (Recent high school graduates welcome)
Mon-Fri, July 8-12, 9 am to 4 pm
Locations: SLU, Xavier Hall, Black Box Theater, and the Fabulous Fox Theatre

Metro Theater Company and Saint Louis University invite high school students to explore advanced acting, movement, improvisation, stage combat, and audition techniques with professional theater artists! Students will have access to SLU’s college level facilities as they create original work and perform scenes and monologues. Students will also attend workshops with Metro Theater Company's staff. All skill levels are welcome. Lunch will be provided daily by SLU dining. There will be a performance for family and friends on the last day of camp.

Metro Theater Company will follow COVID-19 safety protocols put in place by Grand Theater Camp’s partner organization Saint Louis University. If Metro Theater Company implements additional COVID-19 mitigation measures outside of those put in place by its partner organization, a separate email will be sent to families prior to the start of camp.
