Sarah Rugo, Individual Support and Events Manager

Sarah Rugo is thrilled to be returning to MTC. Previously, Sarah served as Metro’s Production Manager from 2004-2017. In that time, she stage-managed a total of 28 MTC productions, including 14 touring shows and all of the mainstage productions in venues such as Missouri History Museum, COCA, and Edison Theatre. After the birth of her son in 2016, Sarah stepped back from her full-time duties, yet continued to serve Metro’s mission as an independent contractor, stage managing four productions for Metro at the Grandel: It’s a Wonderful Life, Ghost, Digging Up Dessa, and Last Stop on Market Street. In fact, Sarah moved to St. Louis in 2004 to work for Metro after earning her B.F.A. in musical theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University in 2003. Before coming to St. Louis, she had interned at Lexington Children’s Theatre in KY, and worked at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre in Winchester, VA. Initially hired by MTC to stage manage, Sarah was quickly promoted to Production Manager, a title she held until her maternity leave. She has also worked with Bread & Roses Missouri, Union Avenue Opera, MADCO, St. Louis Academy of Dance, and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. Now, Sarah is excited to be serving MTC’s mission in a new role in development.
