Jamie McKittrick, Associate Artist
Jamie McKittrick (she/her) first worked with Metro Theater Company as the movement director on Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates and fell in love with the company and its mission. Since then, her work with MTC has become a cornerstone of her artistic practice. She’s performed in The Girl Who Swallowed a Cactus, Frida Libre, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show/La Oruga Muy Hambrienta Espectáculo, as well as directed Jacked! and Wonderland: Alice’s Rock & Roll Adventure. Outside of MTC she’s directed Gruesome Playground Injuries for Creative Inhabitor (St. Louis Best Theatre), and Urinetown the Musical and Lysistrata for Webster Conservatory of the Arts. Notable original work includes, Sparkle- TA DAAA!!! (Critic’s Choice Award winner of the St. Louis Fringe Festival), SURVIVE! (“Best of the Year”- Philadelphia Weekly), Lady M (Curated by LiveArts Fest), and national tours with Enchantment Theatre Company. She’s been on faculty at Webster University’s Conservatory, UMSL, Lindenwood University, and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Theatre at Muhlenberg College.
