Seedfolks tells the story of a diverse group of people brought together through the cultivation of a community garden in their urban neighborhood. But that isn't just a story: the same thing is happening right now, right here in your own backyard!

Fresh Starts Community Garden, part of the Urban Harvest STL network, provides the residents of the JeffVanderLou neighborhood with a space to grow fresh produce, hone their gardening skills, and collaborate with other members of their community. This October, Metro Theater Company hopes to live the values we explore in Seedfolks by being an active and giving part of our community.

Metro Theater Company will be at the Fresh Starts Community Garden from 9 to 11 am on Saturday, October 29, to help prepare the garden beds for winter. Gloves, spades, and other gardening tools will be provided -- just bring closed toe shoes, clothes that can get dirty, and an enthusiastic community spirit.
