In tandem with the live outdoor live performance of The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, a virtual streaming version of the show is available for at-home viewing, enabling families and classrooms who may not be able to enjoy this production live to still experience the delight of this bilingual show.

The streaming performance was filmed indoors, on the mainstage at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center, under COVID-safe filming protocols. Unlike the outdoor performance available for live audiences, this filmed performance features the full original lighting design that could only be possible at an indoor theater. It is available with optional closed captioning to help young people read along in both Spanish and English during the performance.

NOTE: Metro Theater Company is grateful to Rockefeller Productions and Eric Carle for the license to stream this production to audiences across nine states in our region - Arkansas, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Michigan. If you are reserving tickets online to stream this production, your credit card billing address must be located in one of these ten states. Tickets for home-viewing are $20 for one screen. Only one ticket is required to view the program. After completing your online booking, you will receive a unique one-time-use digital link providing you access to view the production. Note: You may begin watching the performance at any time during your four-hour viewing period. Please be sure to complete viewing the performance by the end of your streaming period.
