Welcome New MTC Staff
This fall MTC is pleased to welcome three new staff members!
Aurora is an Alaska raised, St. Louis based playwright and educator and MTC’s newest Teaching Artist Fellow. As a teacher, she specializes in early education storytelling, nature-based theatre, and playwriting for young people. Her writing has been produced at the Samuel French Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival, Echo Theatre, Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble, Young Americans Theatre Company, and The Valdez Theatre Conference. You may recognize Hailey from last season’s Go, Dog. Go! This fall she returns to the MTC stage as Vinnie in Eddie & Vinnie (her 6th show with Metro Theater Company). Hailey is originally from San Antonio, Texas and has taught theatre education programs for Metro Theater Company, Seattle Children's Theater, Magik Theatre, The Rose Theatre Company, and Summer Arts Camp YMCA in Manhattan. Zahria is a theatre maker, educator, and performance scholar from Atlanta, GA, She received her Master of Arts in Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of Maryland at College Park in 2021. Zahria is also a graduate of the University of Missouri having received her Bachelor of Arts in both English and Theatre. She has had the privilege to teach at the University of Maryland, Washington University, The Black Rep, and The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis.
