Metro Theater Company Artistic Director Julia Flood shares:

”One of the most wonderful things about being able to travel and gather again, is reconnecting with old friends. Even better is to be able to bring friends together to make something to delight our Metro Theater Company audience!

Rosemary Newcott has been a pioneer in creating Theater for the Very Young for audiences age 0-5 years throughout the U.S., especially in Atlanta where she was the Artistic Director of Theatre for Youth at the Alliance Theatre for twenty years. We could not be more excited to bring her here to St. Louis to direct In My Granny's Garden by Pearl Cleage and Zaron Burnett Jr. for our very young audiences. Rosemary has been a friend and colleague since we were students at Northwestern University together. She and Managing Director Joe Gfaller worked together in Atlanta many years ago, before Joe moved from Atlanta to St. Louis to work first at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and then at Metro Theater Company. This happy reunion is just the start of a collaboration that will result in magical experiences for families.”
