Schnucks and Operation Food Search

L to R: Joe Gfaller of Metro Theater Company; Hope Bingham of Schnucks; Kristen Wild of Operation Food Search; and Matt Kasate of Operation Food Search

In Metro Theater Company's production of Last Stop on Market Street, a boy named CJ learns from his Nana that "you never know the road people are traveling on... or even if there'll be a day where you find yourself traveling on the same road." The two take an eye-opening bus ride to a soup kitchen where CJ develops a new understanding of thankfulness and giving back.

In the spirit of the story, Metro Theater Company is hosting an Operation Food Search (OFS) food drive during the run of Last Stop on Market Street. OFS is a hunger relief organization that provides free food, nutrition education, and innovative programs proven to reduce food insecurity. Bring non-perishable food items to any of our in-person performances at the Grandel Theatre through February 27 and place them in the marked blue barrels.

Schnucks recently donated cases of corn, green beans, carrots, and macaroni and cheese to the food drive! We are grateful for their support.

Thank you to everyone for helping heal the hurt of hunger.
