Join us for a free performance of Talkin’ Trash at Robinson Elementary School Sunday, November 15 at 2 pm.

Talkin’ Trash tells the story of a young boy obsessed with trash and recycling who moves to a rundown neighborhood next door to an elderly woman who struggles with compulsive hoarding. Their unlikely intergenerational relationship touches on issues of community, responsibility and friendship.

Talkin’ Trash is a world premiere play by Nicholas Kryah. The playwright was inspired by Sam Klein, a boy from St. Louis who was so fascinated by trash that he had his own recycling company by the time he was age twelve. Kryah decided to introduce this boy to an elderly woman obsessed with stuff and memories whom the playwright had once lived next door to.

This play is appropriate for adults and kids age 5 and up. Running time, 50 minutes.
