Now at the beautifully renovated Grandel Theatre 

Metro Theater Company will tour a world-premiere play with a public performance and expand our season to TWO mainstage productions at the renovated Grandel Theatre for our 2017/18 season.

These three amazing plays feature heroes who face tough choices: To accept the future that is handed to them, or to find the courage to create a new story for their lives; a story that is all their own.

Metro Theater Company presents a new telling of the classic story, Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates. First published in 1865, this is a story of resilience and integrity in the face of adversity and the thrill of racing down the ice on skates. In the end, we learn character is not defined by wealth or status, but by the choices that we make and the actions we take.

At Grandel Theatre

Direct from the Kennedy Center, The Newbery Medal and Coretta Scott King Award winning story Bud, Not Buddy takes the stage telling the tale of a ten-year-old orphan who wants to find his father. Bud sets off on an epic journey of discovery during the Great Depression. This “concert play” is produced in partnership with Jazz St. Louis and is set to the sound of a live 13-piece jazz band.
