Managing Director

The Metro Theater Company Managing Director will partner with Artistic Director Julia Flood to build and nurture a dynamic professional team and strategically expand the Theater’s profile and impact in anticipation of the Theater’s 50th Anniversary in 2023. The successful candidate will provide experienced leadership for administrative and operational aspects of the Theater including fundraising, financial management, marketing and communications.

2019-2020 Teaching Artist Fellow

Metro Theater Company seeks a highly-qualified, energetic, emerging professional in the field of Theatre for Young Audiences for a Teaching Artist Fellowship during the 2019-2020 season.  Defined by creativity, flexibility, collaboration, and frontline community engagement, Metro Theater Company’s excellence is recognized nationally. The Teaching Artist Fellow will work closely with Metro Theater Company’s Education Director and Resident Teaching Artist to plan curriculum and to teach in a wide variety of PreK-12 programs in school and community settings. The Teaching Artist Fellow will gain valuable professional experience working alongside a small, highly-skilled staff in a dynamic, creative environment. The ideal candidate will be working toward or have recently completed a master’s degree in Theatre for Youth or Theatre Education. Interest and experience in arts integration and/or Theatre for Social Change a plus. Previous practical experience teaching creative drama to young people and a bachelor’s degree in theatre arts or a related field required. Fellowship includes housing and a stipend, and runs late August 2019 through late May 2020. Teaching Artist Fellow must have access to a reliable vehicle. Metro Theater Company (MTC) is St. Louis’ premier professional theater for youth and families.
